Magazine Cover

For this project we had to look to the future 10 years. We had to use an existing magazine and put ourselves on the cover and input 3 teasers. This project was pretty easy. Just picking a color scheme was laborious, but it all just came together which was very good and a lot less work. Our goal was to make a cover and we had to create it using everything we know.

Haiti Relief Fund Poster

This project required us to make a relief poster for Haiti. We had to do it totally independently, other than the text. I tried to keep it simple yet engaging by adding a few powerful pics. I think it turned out well.

Dear Old Grandfather

The Dear Old Grandfather project was extremely frustrating. We had to fix up the old picture, delete dust and scratches, and fix up that huge scratch in the middle. Next, we had to color the entire picture. Nothing could go untouched. We used the gradient mask to select certain objects and then saved them as to use them later. If something was in the way of a selection, we had to load our saved selection. For the coloring we had to use Hue/Saturation adjustment layers. Difficult, time consuming, and frustrating.

Family

This project was complicated and frustrating. We had to touch up this old photograph using the tools that we've learned. We had to make new snapshots and a bunch of complicated stuff I can't quite remember. We had to delete the dust using dust and scratches filter and delete the tape on the top and bottom by using the clone stamping tool.

Handsome Guy Project

This "project" I can't really be call a project. It was too short and too simple. All we had to do is touch up this man's face. We whitened his teeth and got rid of his crow's feet and acne. Also had to take care of a bad case of razor burn. We used to spot healing and healing tools to touch up his face. Short and simple.

CD Project(Back)

This is the back side of the CD cover project we worked on. It was difficult to incorporate 3 pics into this image as I thought one was adequate. But the more I messed with it the better it turned out. It was difficult to get the fire in the back of the "Dear God" artwork but with the help of the clone stamp tool and the gradient mask, it worked out. The death bat at the top even turned out good. That was a side affect of the gradient mask I used. The CD project was fun to do because it's something we know more about. We know the band so it's easy to customize something for them. Pretty fun.

CD Project

We had to use our photoshop know-how to create a CD cover for an existing band. I chose Avenged Sevenfold, one of my favorite bands. The most difficult part of this project was to cut out the guitar inlay I used to make the cross-like thing in the center. I used the Avenged Sevenfold death bat and had to use one of the stock fonts. But it turned out alright.
